BSC’s MD Les Dudley was invited to represent manufacturers from across the Black Country at a roundtable debate chaired and hosted by renowned regional business publication, Midlands Business Insider.
Les was one of 12 representatives from a variety of organisations, including the Black Country local enterprise partnership, Walsall Council, and the Black Country Chamber. The panel debated regeneration in the area, training, skills and the lack of unity of purpose offered by local authorities and organisations. Les said: “The councils, the local enterprise partnership and the chamber need to work together to supply information to businesses. They still seem to operate independently, which often means conflicting or duplicated advice.”
The results of the debate were printed across a three-page feature in the August edition of the publication.
